A new 1km closed road circuit for cyclists has been officially opened in Hull.
The £650,000 development next to the Ennerdale Leisure Centre is the only facility of its kind in East Yorkshire.
If provides training space for experienced amateur road-racing cyclists as well as newcomers to the sport.
The all-weather circuit, which includes a number of loops as well as straights, has been built on land previously used as outdoor sports pitches which frequently flooded.
The sessions cost £2 per hour for juniors and £4 per hour for adults.
The circuit is open to the public and available for bookings between 8.30am and 9.30pm, Monday to Friday; and 8.30am to 4.30pm at weekends.
Rules of use include having a bike in good working order and wearing a helmet at all times. Children under the age of eight must also be accompanied by an adult.
